Class of 2010 booster club
Become a member
The Class of 2010 Booster Club raises money and plans the all night graduation party. Our job as booster club members is to organize and help to fund that party. The graduation party is a drug and alcohol-free party which every class of 2010 graduate is invited to attend. The graduating seniors of 2007 had their party at the Millennium. The fee for such an event is upwards of $30,000 PLUS transportation! It is also customary to give away raffle prizes. Last year's class gave out nice gifts like TV’s, dorm refrigerators, and digital cameras. Some of these items are donated but most need our funding. If every one of our Class of 2010 graduating families (approximately 622) paid their annual $25 membership dues, we would be set. Fundraising could cease.
Our Class of 2010 kids, along with their faculty sponsors, Ms. Pantuso and Ms. Smith, are in charge of planning and raising funds for their prom.

2010 Final Meeting
We are busy preparing fun things to happen and exciting gifts to give. Please come to our next meeting on May 6th at 7pm in the choir room to be a part of the excitement! This is our last scheduled meeting.
Men’s Wearhouse is helping to sponsor Bowie Project Graduation
Prom is May 15th does your senior have his tux? Men’s Wearhouse is helping to sponsor Bowie Project Graduation. Rent your Prom tux at any Men’s Wearhouse in Austin and just mention you’re from Bowie . Project Graduation earns $5 on every tux rented. Men’s Wearhouse, behind BJ’s at 290W and Brodie, is our closest and the newest store and the only store in the area where you can actually see what you are going to rent. All other stores are catalog only stores. Please check out their tux’ today and beat the prom rush! Over the spring break I received a mailer from Men’s Wearhouse with a $20 coupon and a chance to win a Camaro. Why not get $20 off and have $5 go to Project Graduation. Everyone wins!
April 30th ends our final membership sweepstakes
Remember to have your Project Graduation fees/Booster membership fees (they are the same thing) paid in full ($100) to be eligible for a $100 gift certificate to Linda Odom Photography or a $25 gift card to C’est Chic in Circle C. Membership forms are located here.
Project Graduation Volunteers
We are in need of many volunteers for the nights events. I have created an online sign up for getting your name on the list. We really need people to step up and chair a committee. If you contacted me earlier in the school year about volunteering I have already added your name to this list. Your code is 0000. I still need cell numbers for most of you added.
Project Graduation Liability/Permission slip

Don’t feel like you know why Bowie does Project Graduation?
The mission of JBHS Booster Club is to create an event that is substance-free, safe and an entertaining celebration for graduating seniors. The celebration is Project Graduation.
James Bowie High School is one of many schools in Texas and across the nation where parents and students work together to plan and organize chemical free Project Graduation celebrations. This program originated in Maine in response to the deaths of 12 teenagers in alcohol-related wrecks on graduation night.
James Bowie High School Project Graduation is an all-night, alcohol-free and chemical-free celebration filled with food, activities, music, prizes, and transportation.
We need gift certificates, prizes, and monetary donations for over 300 seniors. We receive support from parents and hold numerous fundraisers. But, we also receive tremendous support from businesses.
The event requires volunteers, more volunteers, fund raising, security, communication, parent donations, business donations, decorations, storage of props/prizes, entertainment, prize management, chaperones.

project graduation
The 2010 Project Graduation Celebration is an all-night, chaperoned, substance-free celebration for the graduating seniors of JBHS. The purpose of this party is to congratulate the seniors for completing their high school curriculum as well as to provide a safe, enjoyable environment for these students. It is hoped that these young adults will carry into the future the message that a good time can be had without the use of drugs and alcohol.
Your membership in the Class of 2010 Booster Club provides much needed funds to enable this event to happen. This, along with your help with various fundraisers will ensure that the 2010 Project Graduation will be a night that the seniors remember!
