Bowie PTSA funds are used to help our students and teachers through programs, scholarships, and publications. Cafeteria Technology Project seeks sponsors

The PTSA is currently working with the community, administration and staff to sponsor a technology project for the cafeteria. The administration would like to enhance the cafeteria with an audio visual system to facilitate additional learning activities and spirit events at JBHS. If you or your company are interested in sponsoring all or a portion of this project, please call PTSA President Mark Gil at 576-9373.

AMD's Employee Giving Program

AMD makes volunteering pay off!

Through AMD's Employee Giving Programs, the company supports employee gifts of money (Matching Gifts) and time (GIVE) to non-profit agencies and schools throughout the U.S. and extends the reach of AMD's corporate giving beyond our site communities. By matching employee gifts, employee and company resources are leveraged for maximum community benefit. Through GIVE, AMD further demonstrates its commitment to community involvement and its support of employees' volunteerism to improve their local schools and communities. By using either of the Employee Giving Programs, AMD employees can double their difference using AMD support

• GIVE (Grant Incentives for Volunteer Efforts) - Employee or the employee's spouse must volunteer a minimum of 10 hours of service for a nonprofit or school . GIVE grants are calculated at $15 per volunteer hour.
• Matching Gifts Must be a personal gift by the employee or the employee's spouse. The minimum eligible gift for matching is $25. (Spousal contributions will apply toward the employee's annual cap.)

Through the AMD GIVE program our Bowie parent volunteers have contributed approximately $1500 to Bowie PTSA. These donations help to fund PTSA scholarships for graduating seniors, printing and mailing over 3000 Bowie Bulletins 4 times per year, Campus Beautification projects and many other PTSA programs.
