Bowie High Newsgroup

Every Monday, the JBHS newsgroup provides updates on events at Bowie High School.

The Bowie PTSA is proud to sponsor an email newsgroup for communicating on weekly basis school news, school events and meetings. The email distribution list is managed through Yahoo Groups. The PTSA sponsors the newsgroup and only the PTSA moderator may send messages to subscribers. To submit news for distribution or ask questions about the newsgroup, contact our current Newsgroup Chairperson.

Subscribing to the jbhs_newsgroup means that you will receive an email each Monday of the school year about:

• School events including sports and fine arts events and important deadlines, such as SAT, ACT registration.
• Information about booster clubs and the PTSA
• Information about college vists to Bowie, scholarship deadlines and senior events.

You have the ability to control when you join the newsletter; you can unsubscribe at any time. You do not have to be a Yahoo member to receive the weekly emails.

Using the email account at which you wish to receive the newsletter:

1. Create a new email and in the "Send to" box type: jbhs_newsgroup-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
2. Hit send.
3. You will receive a confirmation email from Yahoo Groups.
4. You MUST reply to the confirmation email to complete the subscription process. (Select REPLY & SEND to confirmation email).

To unsubscribe:

Using the email account from which you wish to NO LONGER receive the newsletter:

1. Create a new email and in the "Send to" box type: jbhs_newsgroup-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com.
2. Hit send.
3. You will receive a confirmation email from Yahoo Groups.
4. You MUST reply to the confirmation email to complete the unsubscribe process. (Select REPLY & SEND to confirmation email.)
