Volunteering at Bowie High

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our PTSA.

Bowie High School has an outstanding PTSA that offers many exciting and worthwhile opportunities to volunteer in programs and activities which support and encourage our students, their families, and our faculty and staff.

We are always looking for willing volunteers to help in our Main Office, Counselors' Office, library, and student store (the Kennel). Our PTSA also needs help from time to time with such activities as new student orientation, newsletter mailings, and our hospitality and scholarship committees.

We invite you to donate a little of your time and talent to support Bowie High School and the finest student body ever assembled! Download the current Volunteer Form and drop of at the front office at Bowie or mail to:

Copy Room Volunteers needed

Campus Copy Room is looking for parent volunteers. Flexible two hour shifts are available on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. We will train you so don't worry if you are not familiar with the machines! If you are interested please contact Sherri Dugan - sherridugan@austin.rr.com for more information.

Open board positions

The PTSA is looking for a few volunteers to serve in open positions on the board. Melissa Regalado needs a co-chair for the Student Directory. We are also in need of two people to represent Bowie at Austin Council of PTAs (ACPTA) meetings, which are monthly, on weekdays. Please contact Mark Gil if interested!

Volunteer Hours

The hours our volunteers donate determine the success and effectiveness of our programs and activities.

Volunteer hours are the time you donate to activities that help Bowie's students, teachers, and campus, including volunteering at athletic events, working in booster club activities, chaperoning field trips, and serving on PTSA committees and programs, such as Bulldogs & Hotdogs, Career Night and our Community Service Fair.

Please be sure to sign in at the front office when you volunteer on campus.

For more information, please contact our volunteer coordinator.
