About PTSA ~
We are excited to be a part of the Bowie Campus. Our organization is here to serve the students and administration to help make Bowie High School an outstanding place to learn. I consider the PTSA a school-wide Booster Club, who brings together parents, teachers and students and acts as one voice in support of our school. We have such a great group of volunteers on our PTSA Board this year who help make it happen!
The Bowie PTSA works on a large variety of projects from improvements to the campus to running the Kennel School Store. We keep parents informed and in touch with school happenings, show teachers and the administration our appreciation, put on school-wide events such as Bulldogs & Hotdogs and the Homecoming Dance, and provide scholarships to graduating seniors.
It takes all of us to help make Bowie High School a great place for our children to be. Excellence in our school comes from the involvement of our parents. Share your time, talents and resources as a member of the PTSA and please look for volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
Together, with our parents and administration, we can help provide our children the best education and high school experience possible.

Building Updates, Summer 2014
I wanted to let you know about some building updates happening at Bowie-
The cafeteria has been repainted.
The columns in the courtyard have been repainted.
The men and women’s bathrooms in the Fine Arts Hall have been completely gutted and are currently being redone with a finish date in mid-August.
The wings in the Academic Building are clearly labeled. This will be a huge help to parents on Back to School Night
Duct work is being updated.
Plans have been drawn for a new Weight/Training Room with bathrooms. There is a scheduled start date of Summer 2015.
Plans have been drawn for the Field of Dreams that will go in across the street from the Bowie campus. This field is slated to be used by the Bowie Band, Lacrosse and Soccer Teams.
Plans have been finalized for a Pastry Room and Food Lab. Work should start in 2015.
The front entry to the school is scheduled to be worked on.
Signage for traffic drop off and pick up has been posted on the campus.
Bowie will have a new rule when school starts that all signs and flyers may not be taped on the walls in the school. Over the years, the tape has damaged the walls. During the summer, metal strips have been placed throughout the entire school and outside each classroom for signs to be clipped and hung.
The administration is excited about the work going on and hopes you are too. Take pride in Bowie!
