Bowie Blast -- Week of April 28

We are proud of our Bulldogs and encourage teachers and coaches to submit news to Mr. Robinson's office!

​Band:Bowie Wind Band 1's performance at the Bluebonnet Music Festival earned "Best in Festival" award and Wind Band 2 and 3 both earned the "Best in Class" awards.

Choir: JBHS | Choirs represented Bulldog Nation with three beautifully sung performances in the American Classic “Celebration of Choral Excellence” Competition. The Bowie Concert Chorale won FOURTH PLACE in the most competitive Mixed Choir division. The Concert Chorale Women won SECOND PLACE in the very competitive Treble Choir division. All three choirs received clean sweep Superior Ratings from all three judges!

Tennis: Congratulations to Riley O’Connor and Stephen Do for advancing to the State tennis tournament in men’s doubles.

Baseball: The team beat Lehman by a score of 5-3. Jonathan Eastin, Ryan Lim and Jackson Lordheld the Lobos to 5 hits. With the win Bowie qualified for the playoffs. Good luck Dawgs!

Journalism: Senior Preston Rolls has been name the Interscholastic League Press Association Photo Editor of the Year. ILPC is the journalism branch of UIL. Preston is the first student at Bowie in over 20 years to be named as one of the editors of the year by ILPC!​
