Robotics: On Saturday, December 14 the BotDawgs competed against 36 teams from across central Texas. Team Piston Pups placed 13th overall and Team Monarch placed 9th in the Skills Challenge. Way to go BotDawgs!
Wrestling: Last weekend, the Bowie wrestling team competed in the Rough Rider Invitational in San Antonio. The following wrestlers took home medals in their respective weight class: Olivia Moreno (119) - 1st, Josh Moreno (132) - 1st, Tye Frnka (145) - 1st, Elena Moreno (110) - 2nd, Zyah Cajuste (128) - 3rd, and Ninabellle Sitler (138) - 3rd. Great job!
The highlight of the weekend was our Bowie girls team placing 1st overall out of 20 teams in a competitive San Antonio girls tournament. GO DAWGS!
Girls Basketball: Congrats to the Lady Dawgs for a great record of 4-1 at the Hays tournament the weekend of December 6th! Way to go!
Swim & Dive Team: The team competed at the South Zone TISCA championship in San Antonio last weekend. The Lady Dawgs finished the meet with a 3rd place finish out of more than 50 teams. Our own Bowie diver, Alex Popper, continued his season of dominance with wins on both the 1 and 3 meter diving boards. Keep up the great work!!
Speech & Debate: A few members of the speech and debate team competed at University of Texas Longhorn Classic, a national level tournament with 125 schools from across the country. The team did well overall, with several students making the top 30 in events with over 100 competitors. The following students did a great job at placing in the event: 5th place in Duo Interpretation- Connor Snow and Jaden Davis; Semi-finalist
Nick Van Lente in Congressional Debate (top 30); and Quarterfinalist (top 28) - Kamryn Morales in Dramatic Interpretation, Kaia Pierce in Program Oral Interpretation, and Zoe Bouck in Humorous Interpretation.
