Girls Lacrosse: Congratulations to the Lady Dawgs Lacrosse teams for defeating Dripping Springs on Friday, February 7th. Nine different players had goals in the decisive victory. The team also came away with wins by the JV 8-1 and the Varsity 14-9 over Lake Travis. Next game at Cedar Park on Feb 19. Way to go, ladies!
Boys Soccer: The team played Lehman last weekend and the scores were as follows: JVB 2-0, JVA 0-0, and Varsity 5-1.
Girls Soccer: Over last weekend, the girls team took on Westlake. While both JV teams lost 0-3 & 1-3, the Varsity girls tied 1-1 with an awesome goal by Neve Saunders. On February 11, the JVB team beat Lake Travis 2-0 and the JVA tied 0-0. The varsity girls tied 1-1 to Lake Travis with a huge team effort to shut them down and break Lake Travis’ undefeated record! Good job, ladies!
Girls Basketball: The team defeated Lehman 60-15. The Lady Dawgs are now 20-11 on the season and 12-3 in district. Playoffs start next week!
Wrestling: Last weekend, the Bowie wrestling team competed in the District 13-6A UIL Wrestling tournament. Bowie finished with 12 students moving on to the regional tournament in San Antonio. The girls team is the 2020 District 13-6A runner-up! Keep up the great work!!
The wrestlers that will represent Bowie next weekend include our District Champions: Jireh Vivar, Elena Moreno, Joshua Moreno, and Tye Frnka. Other students representing Bowie are: Aiden Ortega, Olivia Moreno, Simon Sprouse, Zyah Cajuste, Ninabelle Sitler, Joseph Robbins, Anthony Salvo, and Alex Haynes. CONGRATS, DAWGS! GOOD LUCK!
