THURSDAY, APRIL 1ST, 2027 BY 11:59PM
The James Bowie PTSA awards scholarships to Bowie seniors heading to a certificate program, trade school, or a two year or four year college. Awards range from $500 to $1,000, and several are given each year.
These scholarships are funded entirely by PTSA memberships and fundraising.
Bowie families pay for them.
WHO CAN APPLY
SCHOLARSHIP ELGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Graduating senior at Bowie High School
Cumulative GPA
of 3.0 or higher
*MUST BE a current member of the
James Bowie PTSA
*Eligible students must be PTSA members at the time they submit their application.
Membership is separate from a parent's membership, so seniors need to join as students.
HOW TO APPLY
STEP 1: Join the Bowie PTSA as a student
Do this first. Applications from non-members cannot be considered.
STEP 2: Complete two forms
1. Scholarship Application: Google Docs | PDF
2. Student and Parent Authorization Form: Google Docs | PDF
STEP 3: Email everything to bowieptsascholarship@gmail.com
Send the completed application, your essay, and the authorization form together, by 11:59 p.m. on April 1, 2027.
