Welcome to the website of the James Bowie High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) in Austin, TX.  Find out how to join our organization today! Our PTSA committees offer many exciting and interesting volunteer opportunities. The Bowie PTSA usually meets on the second Tuesday of each month of the school year at 6:30pm in the Bulldog room. Please join us at our next meeting!

Volunteers Needed

The copy room is currently staffed by volunteers from 8:15 - 12:15 Monday through Friday. There are two Bowie Copy Room slots that still need to be filled: Friday weekly 10:15 - 12:15 and, Friday bi-weekly 10:15 - 12:15. We would also like to get the copy room staffed all day, but can only expand the room as the entire week is filled by shift. If there is anyone out there who could put their names in to hold until a shift is filled throughout the week, we will be looking for 12:15 - 2:15, and 2:15 - 4:15. BOWIE PTSA 2009-2010 GOALS:

• Support teachers, parents & students so that students can realize their education and career dreams. 
• Facilitate communication for parents and students (Bowie Bulletin, weekly newsgroup, etc.)
• Provide relevant program services for parents, students and teachers (community service, career fairs, drug & alcohol awareness training, facilitate outreach & awareness, debt management, financial literacy, etc.)
• Upgrade communication technology in the cafeteria to better facilitate outreach & awareness training, district wide training events & spirit events.
