Our PTSA committees also offer many exciting and interesting volunteer opportunities. The Bowie PTSA usually meets on the second Tuesday of each month of the school year at 6:30pm in the AV room. The Bowie PTSA will once again rebound from term limits and graduation, but not without your HELP! The PTSA nominations committee has extended the recruitment period for two weeks to fill critical open PTSA Executive and Committee Chair positions for the 2012-2013 term period:

The Bowie PTSA provides the Yahoo Newsgroup, Kennel Student Store, Teacher Copy Room, coordinates Bulldogs and Hot Dogs and a multitude of year round services that support the faculty, administration and staff in addition to coordinating teacher appreciation functions.

Bulldogs & Hotdogs 2012

Attention all Bowie Booster Clubs and Student Organizations! Bulldogs and Hot Dogs is Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM. The Longhorns are at an away game and ACL is not until October! Wahoo, this year's event will Rock! Mark the date! Make sure your group is represented at the May meeting and bring your questions!

Bowie summer camps

The Bowie High School 2012 Lacrosse Camp, for all Lacrosse players entering Grades 1-9, June 25-29
No playing experience required. Coaches: Justin Becker and Jordan Ruggeri. Camp takes place at Bowie High School, 8:30am – 12:30pm, June 25-29. Registration Deadline:  May 21. http://bowiedawgslax.org/

Bowie Starlight Theatre Company Summer Drama Camp, Ages 5-14, Mon-Fri June 18th – 22nd    
Know anyone looking for a great creative camp for children this summer?? Look no further! Bowie's Summer Drama Camp for ages 5-11 will focus on: Creative Drama, Mask Making, Creative Movement, Poetry Interpretation, Theatre Games and Story Dramatization; Camp for ages 12-14 will focus on: Stage Techniques, Oral Interpretation, Improvisation, Theatre Games, and Stage Combat. Choose Morning Session, Afternoon Session, or Full Day (8:00-5:00). Registration forms at: www.bowietheatre.org (click "Upcoming Events"). Bowie Silver Stars Summer Dance Clinic, Grades 1st – 9th and Grades 8th and 9th will be offered a Pre-Drill Class.   No dance experience required.

DATES:
Monday, June 11th to Friday, June 15th

TIMES:
8am to 12Noon – Morning Session
1:00pm to 5:00pm - Afternoon Session
8:00am to 5:00pm - Both Sessions

Cost: Pre-registration: On or before June 1, 2012
One Session (morning OR afternoon):
$90 for first child
$80 for each add'l child in the same family
Both Sessions (all day):
$160 for first child /  $150 for each add'l child in the same family

Late registration: After June 1, 2012 or at the door, Cost (see above) + $10 late registration fee. No refunds after June 11, 2012. $25 charge on all NSF checks

Activities: Dance and drill technique and terminology; jazz, novelty, prop, and/or high kick routines; workshops on appearance, attitude, and projection; drill down competitions; dance "games."   All sessions will be taught by the Bowie High School "Silver Stars"   For more information and registration form, go to our website: www.silverstars.org
