Bowie Blast -- Week of Oct. 14

Bowie Fishing: Congratulations to Hunter Amidon! He is currently ranked third in the nation for High School Angler National Rankings.
Cross Country: Bowie Varsity Girls team has qualified for Regionals! Congratulations to Claire Meyer, Paige Oldham, Morgan Kos, Lily Erb, Katherine Terracina, Kendall Johnson and Ellie Cemer. Good luck in Corpus Christi on the 22nd!
The Boys team was led by Seth Leifheit, Winston Yaeger and James Schroeder. Christian Vockell also medaled in the Freshmen Division.
Swimming: In competition at the Trojan Invite, the Bowie girls placed 1st and the boys placed 4th. As a team Bowie finished 2nd in combined team scores. Way to go Bulldogs!
Bowie Band: After a 27 hour day, the James Bowie Outdoor Performing Ensemble, JBHSOPE, finished in 4th place, landing among other top national competitors. Bowie is now ranked as one of the top 17 bands in the Nation! It doesn't hurt that they are Ryan Reynolds' "favorite OPE"!
Guitar: Leif Tilton won the Senior Division of the Texas A&M Youth Guitar Competition. In the past he also won the Junior Division! Lief is only a junior and competing against other students as old as 18 (seniors) in this competition.
