Bowie Blast - Week of Nov. 5

Bowie Forensics Takes 2nd Overall…

A small group of the Bowie Forensics team traveled to Saint Mary's Hall in San Antonio to compete in a TFA State Qualifying tournament. Competing with almost 40 schools from across the state, the team took 2nd place honors along with many individual top honors and scored four new state qualifications.

New 2018 State Qualifiers:Natalie Guerra and Sofia Hutton (Duet Acting), Zach Houdek (Foreign and Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking), Amy Shreeve (Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking). And Finalists: 1st place in Duet Acting- Natalie Guerra and Sofia Hutton, 2nd place in Duet Acting- Grace Widner and Reed Szydek, 2nd place in Congressional Debate- Amy Shreeve, 3rd place in Duet Acting- Jamie Muras and Luke Evans, 3rd place in Duo Interpretation- Sofia Hutton and Grace Widner, 3rd place in Humorous Interpretation- Luke Evans, 3rd place (Semi-finalists) in Public Forum Debate- Peyton Bellman and Jack Maedgen.
