Its 2020 winterguard show is titled TECHNICOLOR PACHYDERMS. From trumpet-playing trunks, to bubble elephants, Bowie World Guard uses musical inspiration from the original Disney film DUMBO (Pink Elephant sequence) and mix of Britney Spears, Madonna, John Cage and a little peek from the Wizard of Oz.

Battle of the Books: Bowie students participated in the second annual Battle of the Books at McCallum High School. They competed against 11 teams from AISD and Pflugerville on Friday, March 6th. Bowie took 4th place! Students read the chosen books and competed in three rounds (1 round- Kahoot, 2nd round short answer, 3rd round Jeopardy). Way to go Bulldogs!!

Bowie Business Professionals of America: THE BOWIE BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS OF AMERICA traveled to Dallas last week to attend the BPA State competition and leadership conference. The JV team beat Lehman 8-0, and the Varsity beat Lehman 2-1 with awesome goals scored by Addie Lemoine and Megan Devaney. The teams finished up their season Westlake the week before Spring Break. All team members represented Bowie this season with a strong work ethic and class. Senior Megan Devaney finished up her season by tacking in two more goals, but the team still came up short to Westlake. Great season, Lady Dawgs!

Jonathan Eastin pitched five innings allowing only two hits and struck out eight! Our varsity baseball team played in the AISD tournament as well, winning four games and losing two. Two of our players were selected to the ALL-Tournament Team: Thanio Bright and Brody Miller. The team had a showing against some good competition in the AISD tournament. On March 9th, the Varsity team got a big district win! Down 3 -0 in their final at bat, the DAWGS scored four unanswered runs capped by a walk-off single by Aidan Warren. Bowie played solid defense and had a strong pitching performance by Johnathan Eastin who threw 6 and 2/3 innings of no-hit baseball. Great TEAM WIN!!! GO DAWGS!!!
