Softball: The varsity softball team won two of three games in the Regional Semi-Finals! They advance to the Regional Finals next. Good Luck Bulldogs!

Tennis: MiaAngelina Ruja advanced to the State Tennis Semi Finals and WON 6A Girls State Singles title.

Baseball: The varsity baseball team ended their season by dropping 2 games to Westwood 4-1 and 5-3. The Bulldogs finished the regular season with a 24-7 record. A big thanks to all our players for their hard work!

Newspaper: From UIL/ILPC, the Dispatch print edition earned our second straight GOLD STAR, which makes Bowie one of the top-6 newspapers in the entire state. We were the only 6A school in the state to earn a Gold. The Online Newspaper grabbed a Silver Star, which means our website is in the top-7 statewide.

Individually 28 staff members combined to win a staggering 63 Individual Achievement Awards (39 for the print edition, and 24 for our Online paper), including 4 Tops in Texas. Tops in Texas combines all levels into one grouping from 1A to 6A and are then judged again for the best in the state.

Senior Abbey Repka had the top Entertainment Feature story in the state last year. Junior Anna Holme had the best Personal Opinion Column. Senior Faith Lawrence was the winner in Infographic/Sidebar design. The team of Maya Amador, Rea Gray, Natalie Cullen, Izzy Rejino, Shikha Patel, Dylan Zellner, and Dylan Ebs combined for the best In-Depth News/Feature Package Online last year. Senior Editor-in-Chief Cade Spencer won 11 total awards. Senior Editor-in-Chief Faith Lawrence won 10 total awards. Senior Managing Editor Rea Gray won 7 awards. Seniors Editors Abbey Repka, Mia Folkers, and Maya Amador grabbed 6 each. And the future looks bright as junior editors Anna Holme, Arushi Sharma, Natalie Cullen, Izzy Rejino, Corinne Piorkowski and Sammie Thompson netted a total of 25 awards.

The Dispatch won a Pacemaker, a Silver Crown, and a Gold Star in the same year for the triple crown of scholastic journalism. Bowie placed Best in Show at the national convention and earned our 3rd straight Distinguished Site from SNO. Individually, the students won 16 national awards, 6 regional awards, and 179 state-level awards (130 print, 49 online) for a total of 201 awards for staff members.

Combined with the Lone Star Yearbook, led by the amazing Lindsey Shirack, we are clearly one of the top-10 programs in the entire country.
