Tennis

Varsity Tennis won 18-1 vs. Hays on September 23 and 17-3 vs. San Marcos on September 28.


Speech and Debate

The speech and debate team competed in the Lake Travis TFA State Qualifying virtual tournament. Please congratulate the following students. New state qualifiers: Javier Lozano in Dramatic Interpretation, Tristan Rath in Humorous Interpretation, Erin Everette in Program Oral Interpretation, Public Forum Debate: Semi-finalists (top 4) Katie Golson & Nikhil Weerakoon, Congressional Debate: 4th place: Morgan Gonzales and Finalist- Austin Van Zandt, Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking: Katie Golson, Duet Acting: 1st place- Katie Carrabine & Zoey Salter, 2nd place- Tristan Rath & Max McDowell, 3rd place- Zoe Bouck & Connor Snow, 4th place- Aidan Garcia & Ian Garcia, 5th place- Kaelie Douglass & Erin Everette, 6th place- Sophie Chasen & Caroline Cullinane, Dramatic Interpretation: 1st place- Alyssa Shumaker, 2nd place- Kaia Pierce, 4th place- Javier Lozano, 5th place- Nadia Petru and 6th place- Gabe Watts, Humorous Interpretation: 1st place- Tristan Rath, 5th place- Megan Sewell and Program Oral Interpretation: 4th place-Erin Everette, 5th place- Kaia Pierce and 6th place- Nadia Petru.



Volleyball

Bowie Varsity lost to San Marcos in a close match 3-2. Big game by Maya Johnson, she led the team with 19 kills and 3 blocks. Both JV teams and our freshman teams defeated San Marcos.

Cross Country

The Boys Cross Country Team has competed each of the past two weekends. Leading the Boys Varsity team has been Nick Manire with 5k times of 16:53 & 16:58 and a third-place finish at McNeil. Senior Will Hartnett (17:06) and sophomores Tommy Morales (17:41) and Corben Jones (17:47) also hit PRs early this season and have scored well for the team. Leading the JV Boys has been the trio of Trevor Jones, Ian Urrabazo, and Rohan Dharwadker who all broke 19 minutes this past weekend. And grabbing a third-place finish at Del Valle, Adrian Castillo has been a standout for our freshmen team.

Football

Both freshman football teams won their games at Stony Point. The red team won 8-6 and the black team won 55-0.
