Poetry Out Loud: Congratulations to the winners of the poetry out loud competition! Chris Thompson in 3rd place, Anna Demopolis in second place, and Liana Chen in first place and headed to state next month!
Yearbook: The Texas Association of Journalism Educators' announced their Best in Texas individual awards for Yearbook. The Dispatch: The National Scholastic Press Association named http://thedispatchonline.net as a Pacemaker Finalist. This is the first nomination for the online site and comes on the heels of the print edition's first Pacemaker in over 20 years announced in Chicago earlier this year.
Wrestling: Congratulations to our wrestlers that competed at the CenTex invitational. Placing 3rd in their weight classes for the boys team were Vincent Villanueva and Cory Silguero. Placing 4th was Jaime Silva and Eric Engberg. On the girls team, Zyah Cajuste placed 4th, and the girls tournament champion at 102 pounds was senior Aylen Vivar. Great job Dawgs!
